WE ARE THE BEST FRIENDS OF DOGS

We are a movement. We are a collaboration of many shelters and passionate individuals dedicated to making the Western Cape a No-Kill Province.

Over 15 000 dogs are being killed in Western Cape Shelters every year simply because they don’t find a home. Each one an individual – each one a dog worth saving.

15 000 dogs – that number should be a lot less – and it can be.

We can reduce this number by thousands - but only if we all work together.

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

1. IF YOU HAVE A DOG, STERILISE IT.
2. IF YOU WANT A DOG, ADOPT ONE FROM A SHELTER.
3. CONTACT THE SHELTERS LISTED BELOW AND ASK THEM TO COLLABORATE WITH WOOF PROJECT.

IT'S THE ONLY WAY TO TURN THE WESTERN CAPE INTO NO-KILL*.
WHEN WE WORK TOGETHER, WE CAN SAVE THEM ALL.

* We all fully understand that not every single dog can be saved. Some are so abused or hurt, that the only 'humane' way  forward is 'euthanasia.  NKWP refers to the vast majority of 'adoptable dogs' that are surrendered at certain shelters and that are killed simply because there isn't available space at the shelter, or where the dog is killed because it wasnt adopted after a certain period of time.
